The Whole Child
"The Gallery"

If you feel that you are in crisis or could hurt yourself, call 911.
Your life is too important.

Who are we?
The Whole Child has two dedicated clinicians available to WHS students, Arlene and Jessica (check out the pictures tab on the right for their picture and bios). In these clinicians, you will find experienced and caring individuals who want to help you overcome any barriers keeping you from achieving success and well-being. The Whole Child's office at WHS is called "The Gallery".

Why would someone come here?
The Gallery was developed to give the students of WHS hope and support in a safe and trusting environment. The Gallery’s goal is to break the stigma that that there is shame in seeking help in creating a better version of yourself. The Gallery clinicians will help you in understanding and overcoming your personal challenges and assist you in finding the tools and utilizing best practices to strengthen and improve your life. If you are struggling with behavior or mental health issues (or just unsure) and you could benefit from someone helping you navigate through your feelings, then The Gallery is here to help.

What do we do at The Gallery?
The Gallery is the community-based mental health services arm of Whittier High School. We offer an array of services to the students and families that attend WHS, including: a comprehensive psychosocial assessment; individual, family, and group therapy. The clinicians at The Gallery utilize short term mental health practices which are research-based and supported for their success in improving the lives of youth and families.
The space was named The Gallery to showcase all mediums of art created by the students of Whittier High School. If you have an art piece you would like to display, please let us know.

When are The Whole Child clinicians available?
Arlene and Jessica are available Monday – Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Where is it located?
The Gallery is located in Room E105, right off the quad, across the fountain.
