Jessica Carillo, Bilingual Mental Health Therapist, The Whole Child
I have been with The Whole Child for 2 years as a Bilingual Mental Health Therapist. For the past two years, I have provided mental health services to students of Whittier High School.
I truly enjoy listening to others and being able to provide hope and reassurance in times of uncertainty. Whittier High School has provided me with an excellent platform to provide essential support for the students I work with.
I earned a Master's degree from the University of Southern California, in Social Work with an emphasis in child, youth, and families.
In my personal time, I enjoy shopping, spending time with friends and family, as well as hiking as a great outlet for my own self-care.
I have been with The Whole Child's School Based Mental Health team as a Bilingual Mental Health Therapist for 2 years where I have also provided counseling services at Whittier High School. Whittier High School and The Whole Child are putting forth great efforts to provide access to mental health services on campus, where I along with my colleagues strive to seamlessly heal and strengthen youth.
With compassion and empathy, I seek to help youth find the light that motivates them to be the best version of themselves. I work to highlight the goodness we all contain, help others feel a strong sense of belonging and appreciate other's strengths.
I received my Master's degree in Social Work with an emphasis in children, youth, and family from the University of Southern California.
A little about myself: I am a dog mom of two and in my free time I appreciate working out and enjoy traveling.
