A-G Requirements

A-G courses are a series of high school classes that students must complete to be eligible for admission to the CSU and UC systems. The A-G sequence consists of year-long courses in seven subject areas: history/social studies (a), English Language Arts (b), mathematics (c), laboratory sciences (d), world languages (e), visual and performing arts (f), and college-preparatory elective (g). To meet minimum UC/CSU admission requirements, students must complete all courses with a letter grade of C or better.
