Whittier High Softball Player Signs with University

Whittier High School senior Jaylene Ross has signed to play Division 1 softball at Texas Southern University.

 

Ross, who has a 3.14 GPA, has been playing softball since she was 10, taking on positions as a catcher and outfielder. Her travel ball team is So Cal Athletics-McCarthy out of Orange County.

 

The teen, whose batting average is .488, plans to major in kinesiology or sports management.
