Welcome to Graphic Design & Digital Photography

Graphic Design course will explore the ever-changing trends in the global design field and their application in print production, advertising, and branding. Students will understand the impact of art and design throughout history and various cultures. Students will learn methods and theories such as elements and principles of design to enhance their artistic vision and style. Design projects will develop problem-solving skills, artistic perception, critical thinking, and self-reflection. Art critiques and presentations will provide opportunities for students to grow as artists. Industry-standard software will provide students with a professional environment to develop abilities in the field of graphic design. 

All classwork is accessible via Google Classroom. In order to log in, you'll need to enter using your Google email provided by WHS. In Aeries there is a link giving access to your Google Classroom. Digital Photography will teach you to become technically and aesthetically proficient with the digital photography process. This course explores the aesthetic, technical, cultural, and historical aspects of photography as a form of visual communication. In addition, this is a CTE class (Career Technical Education) designed to teach you about photography as a profession and to help you acquire the self-directed skills and professional demeanor that is expected in the workplace and/or higher education.
