Course Description

This course provides an understanding of the major turning points in the shaping of the modern world, from the late eighteenth century to the present. The year begins with a focus on the democratic ideals and the struggle for democracy and then into the expansion of the West and the growing interdependence of people and cultures throughout the world.  It will also analyze the major events and movements of the 20th century that impact the world in which we currently live. This course is designed for students who read at or above grade level and may attend college. This course meets A-G requirements.
