welcome back to the senior Awards celebration for the Whittier High School class of 2020 Syria of service to our school Community we are recognizing our outstanding a distance to demonstrated outstanding athletic skill and talent as well as the ability to be leaders perhaps most importantly they provide an important service to our school by representing Whittier High School with pride at other High all of a sudden California are the Bob Chandler and Patty Carreta Wards which are named for the two cardinals who are generally considered to be the two greatest male and female athletes ever graduate from high school of these Awards they will be presented during our online farewell assembly along with the cards will keep this means that you are a most outstanding athletes will have to wait just a few more days we do have a number of other athletic awards to protect this video however and I'm pleased to go ahead and show those words with you right now beginning with our athletes of the Year based on edible performance congratulations for athletes of the year and McKayla Hernandez next word is the athletic director's award Mission from athletic director mr. Jim Morelli fortunately spring Sports were cancelled this year graduation store Athletic Director award winners best Aguilar Christian Guerrero Onyx category is the Cardinal Spirit award recognizes those students who support Athletics two other ways whether to add and cheer Color Guard Sports managers different ways that are student support on athletic programs we have four cardinal Spirit Award winners and they are Jasmine Martin Natalie Ramirez our next category is our scholar-athlete award for students who are outstanding both in their sports but also in the classroom we have two scholar-athlete Award winners this year they are Joseph Hanson and Julia copper Onyx category is B Sports leadership awards I tell students all the time you don't need to have a title or position to be able anyone can lead by example have done an amazing job of leading by example with their Sports congratulations to Rose Alvarez Samantha 1 quelah Isaac moisture between Ross and Marco Trujillo Don Kelly lifetime passes are first student who is in the Theme Park Cities Ford or three years of Varsity in one sport and two years of Varsity in another sport John Kelly was a beloved with your high school coach who started teaching at when you're high school all the way 54 Pistons are recipients of the John Kelly lifetime pass in our receiving a path that allows Edmonds to all Whittier High School for life congratulations to our lifetime pass where's Lilian Aguilar timing auberon Samantha McLeod Jason Cabral Danny calvillo Juan Guerra Paula Gomez Samantha Gomez Kayla Hernandez Sara Ramirez Carol Ross Jamie Ross Marco tritio Megan Celeste Vasquez Joanna Vasquez man congratulations to all of our athletic awards winners and thank you for your service with your high school we still have more Wars coming in the category of service and for those presentation here is our assistant principal. Hello everyone much like our student-athletes the following seniors have served Whittier High School by representing the Cardinals in a variety of academi competition these students represent the most outstanding seniors for speech mock trial and Academic Decathlon as I announce each senior I will identify the different teams academic Academic Decathlon we chew or academic team speech and Layla Chipeta for academic mock trial congratulations Cardinal academic competitors are next award goes to the student group given of their time talent and compassion to freshman becoming connected to our school Community the sender link crew group has served for many years connecting with incoming 9th graders on freshman first day and throughout the year Senators conduct team building activity organized special activities and provide an action and positive role model to all fresh Whi the senators from the class of 2020 our time is Abaddon Adriana Alonzo T-cell Alvarado Samantha Jennings. Lozano Ezekiel Medrano Jose Miguel Hernandez Honduras mijares citlali Miranda Samantha karate Addison Nunez Vincent para minha patino Teresa Perez Bernadette Quintero Isabella Ramirez Fernanda Perez Rodriguez Christian Rodriguez Victoria Solace Josiah Sanchez Ashley Shack Caitlin Suarez Marco Trujillo and Salon doctor well all of our Senators have been amazing the following students have been identified as our senior senator MVPs Rose Alvarez Keanu Zoe Pablo Danny calvillo Lauren Garibay Michaela Hernandez Juliana is here though call Lena Jansen Leah Elaine Cola Sara Ramirez Matthew Ruiz Megan lieta and Eileen Vargas congratulations to all of our Senators and thank you service to Whittier High School this brings us to our very last award which is perfect attendance these four students have not missed a day of high-school this is a tremendous accomplishment and we will recognize it in our traditional way by giving them a free yearbook here are the four seniors with perfect attendance from the class of 2020 Derek Contreras Rancho de Fierro Jose Miguel Hernandez and Christian congratulations to our winners and we will be contacting each of to talk about how they will get there with that I will turn things back over to Mr Leggett for his closing remarks congratulations to the class of 2020 as evidenced by all of the awards tonight exceptional senior class and very proud of each and every one of you want to congratulate throughout their Journey The Lion's Share of the credit I know how critical you have all been to our Student Success has it has been a real pleasure for us to partner with you during these last four years our final notice you should be very proud everything U of A Stringer High School careers in January celebrate all that you've done in the coming weeks I want to remind you however that when you leave with your high-school you do you sell with a clean slate wall that can't be good thing can also be a tricky thing when you begin at College trade school the military or the world of work there will be no special privileges for having been a successful high school student you cannot rest on your lower cleanse your past cheap you must never lose sight of all the hard work that brought you here if you bring that same dedication and work ethic to your future endeavors as you brought to Whittier High School then I guarantee you will do well success is out there to be had but it is not going to come to you you're going to have to go and grab it and make it yours these last few months have taught about the importance of resiliency that will serve you well as you move forward with your life thank you very much for viewing our senior Awards videos as a reminder your senior award envelopes can be picked up on campus when you return your text books on Main I hope you all remain safe and healthy take care
