Scholarship Details:

• Award Amount: $1,000

• Eligibility Criteria: 

  -Female, College-Bound Seniors from the Whittier Union High School District, Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District, St. Paul High School, and El Rancho High School.

  -Minimum GPA of 3.0.

  -Demonstrated leadership and commitment to community service.

  -Scholar-athletes and female students who will attend CSU or community college will be given priority.

The Women in California Leadership (WiCL) Foundation Minerva Scholarship program is accepting online applications from eligible students. One hundred and twenty six $3,000 Minerva Scholarships and one $10,000 Golden Minerva Scholarship will be awarded this year.

To be eligible for scholarship consideration, students must meet the following requirements:

• Be a full-time student in good academic standing at an accredited college or university OR be a graduating high school senior with written proof of acceptance at an accredited institution of higher learning.
• Have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.5.
• Eligible students must identify as a woman or girl, or be female regardless of gender identity.
• Submit a completed online application with all required supplementary documents by the application deadline.

Please note: applications and all supplementary documents must be submitted together online. The Program does not accept documents submitted separately via mail, in-person delivery, or through legislative offices.

The CA Latino Legislative Caucus Foundation’s Scholarship Program is accepting online applications from eligible students. In order to be eligible for scholarship consideration a student must by a California resident and meet the following requirements:

1. Be a full time student in good academic standing at an accredited college or university, OR
2. Be a graduating high school senior with written proof of acceptance at an accredited institution of higher learning.

The deadline for submitting the online application and all supporting documentation is June 1, 2026.  There are no exceptions to this deadline.

Are you headed to college or trade school this fall? Write a short essay about residential recycling programs for your chance to win some cash!

The Social Services Scholarship Program is sponsored by one of Whittier's waste management providers, Athens Services. Winners from each service area will be selected!

Essay Topic:
Recycling conserves natural resources, improves air and water quality, and reduces the need for landfill expansion. Describe a strong and successful residential recycling program that helps minimize landfill use, and include strategies that could reduce, reuse, and recycle household waste.

Eligibility:
✔️ Must be a high school senior headed to college or trade school.
✔️ Must live within Incorporated Whittier City limits.

Submission Guidelines:
✔️ Submit one short essay responding to the topic.
✔️ Essay must follow MLA formatting. 
✔️ Share a photo of yourself (your Senior portrait would be perfect)!
